A New Use for Paws Aboard Life Jackets
Hi,
I recently purchased a
Paws Aboard life jacket to use when I take my dog,
Riley, on the boat.
Riley was neutered a week ago, and has to wear a cone around his neck..supposed to wear it for 2 weeks. I received the life jacket on Monday, and discovered that
with the jacket on he cannot reach his surgery area.
I haven't taken the life jacket off since.
He doesn't mind wearing it day and night. Best of all...that dreaded cone is a thing of the past.
Thanks!

Blue for Boys, Pink for Girls
We love (our babies')
Paws Aboard
Dog Life Jackets. They are
not only a safety for your baby but they are so cutee.
We had so many people commenting on how adorable they were. A real attention getter at the lake and on the boat. The boys had to have the blue with white polka dots and our princess had to have the pink with white polka dots.......so adorable!!!

Paws Aboard Life Jacket to the Rescue
Dear Sirs,
I just have to tell you that
your
life jacket saved the life of our bulldog, Libbey, today.
We were out in our boat and as always, put her in it.
Libbey is 11 +years old ( which is very old for a bulldog). They are not known for their swimming abilities, so we do always put her in it. She now has a cataract and is pretty blind in her right eye.
After the day out on the River in Charleston, SC, we had come in, and were walking up to our dock from the floating dock...and
Lib made a turn too soon, and splashed right into the water...it is cold water now too.
She came up, and started paddling...the
jacket kept her head way above the water and really she took in no
water...her head was up right in a great position...and she just kept paddling.
It was difficult because her hearing isn't so great either...but after swimming away from us...she caught sight of me or heard me and followed my voice...and
the fabulous handle came in handy...and I lifted her out of the water.
Thank you for such a wonderful design. You really did save us....and her. IF none of us died of a heart attack this afternoon, we are here for a while.
By the way, the bright green color was helpful too.
What a wonderful life jacket!!!
Sincerely,
Carol, Max and Libbey Gaston

Tried and Tested
Life Jacket
Maddie went off the pier...again...she loves the ducks. This time was easier because the boat hook picked her up easier with the double wrap under her belly. We're ordering another
Paws Aboard Dog Life Jacket for our other dachshund! Thanks!

Paws Aboard Dog Life Jacket Gives Timid Dog an
"Explosion of Confidence"
Our Border Collie,
Zoe can swim but made the mistake of jumping into the lake last
winter going after nearby ducks. She didn’t expect the frigid
waters and has been timid about the lake since. We bought her a
Paws Aboard life jacket
which fits like a glove (as it should)
and now she has the confidence to go back into the water. It
must fit comfortably as she never once stopped to scratch or nip
at any part of it.
Best of all was the
red throw toy – we haven’t seen her so excited about playing
in a long time. Thanks
so much for providing quality products that turned a timid dog
into an explosion of confidence and fun at the lake. Nearby
swimmers and campers were laughing and applauding at her antics
– and the fun she was having. What a memorable day.

Paws Aboard Doggy Boat Ladder Saves the Day
Hi Amber,
Hope this e-mail finds you well. I haven't sent
you an e-mail in quite a while. My 4-legged,
chocolate lab friend of many years passed away
about a year and a half ago. I was heartbroken
and didn't want another dog.
However, recently
a neighbor of a friend of ours passed away. He
had a 3 year old black lab that no one could
place in a home. It appeared he was destined
for the dog pound. While he has a lot more
enthusiasm than we experienced with our old
friend, it was hard to imagine a dog with a big
heart might not be around much longer. He now
has found a home with us and we are both
learning to adapt and teach each other.
As a typical lab, he absolutely loves the
water. He would spend the entire day in the
water if he could. The first time we took him
out in the boat, he was so excited and so strong
that he broke free of my wife's hold on his
leash as we were about 300 yards off shore. To
him, it was lots of fun but of course he would
get tired after a while.
I immediately put on
my life jacket, removed the folding ladder (I
got from you), attached it to the stern ladder,
and he adapted to the ladder in the blink of an
eye. I'm so glad I had that
ladder stored in
our ski-locker as it "saved the day".
In addition, we thought that it was time to get
a new doggie life jacket. Our old one was a
little too large for our new friend and boating
on Lake Michigan can be rough at times. We
stopped at the local pet store and found
one we
thought would work but he absolutely refused to
wear it.
Then while at the Michigan City Boat Show in August, Wolf's Marine
had the life jacket from your company. With the mesh bottom,
secured with Velcro and backed up with buckles, it is the
perfect life
jacket for a very active, borderline hyper (smile) dog. The handle on top
works like his harness and is very useful.
Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the
new doggie life jacket.
Thank you again for your design and creation
of a doggie (and human) friendly and
exceptionally functional product.
Hope your company is enjoying continued success.

Real-Life Incident
Thought I would share this photo of
Gizmo and her Paws Aboard life vest. Last summer, it came in very handy when her collar gave way and she jumped out of our moving boat. Another boater behind us grabbed her by the vest handle and brought her safely back to us.
